Would you believe it!

Have been reading your posts, but I haven't had much idea how to say this, hopefully a problem shared etc. I'm waffling now...I went for a colonoscopy on monday hoping to find an answer to anemia.. ending up staying on the ward after a big bleed. A very cool consultant came and sat on the bed, you sort if get this feeling, anyway I've got a bowel tumour, and the thing I'm most concerned about nodules on my lungs. He said this could be something to do with the emphysema. I was gutted as 3 months ago the lung consultant said everything was fine. On the bright side coronavirus will not scare me .....will get further info on tuesday and a plan of action. I'm a positive old girl and will do my best to carry on. Jane

I’m so sorry to hear about your bowel tumour and hope that it can be successfully treated very soon. Wishing you a speedy recovery. I have emphysema and have been told that I have two nodules in my lungs. The pulmonologist didn’t seem that alarmed and just said that they’ll just need to be watched. All the very best

Hello Jane,

Your positive attitude will be your strength with tackling this tumour and anything else.

We are all behind you with wishing you well and thank you for sharing with us, I hope it feels like a weight has been lifted. Like with any health issue, the earlier they catch it, the more options you might have.

Do keep us informed about your appointment on Tuesday and do take good care. 🌈X

Hello Jane, staying positive is the way to keep on top of the not so good reports from doctors. See this as an hiccup in life . You have a very good approach which I am sure will get you through. Good luck on Tuesday, and as they tell me keep your chin up. The lung discrepancy may just mean a change as occured in three months. Every best Wish.

Not great news Jane, but your positivity shines through, which will help you through any future treatment needed etc. Doesn't mean that either the tumour or nodules are cancerous, but if any are there's so much that can be done to overcome same. (I had a kidney and lobe of left lung removed due to cancer and, thank God, I have been in remission now for 12 years). Good luck with everything and all best wishes. Please keep us updated x

Update as promised, but confusion all round. The Tuesday consultant thought I was there regarding anemia. But did try to explain what could happen if the tumour grew. Really a waste of energy and a 60 mile trip. Anyway at home the colorectal nurse rang me to say my case was discussed on Monday and I have a face to face options/plan appt. Next Wednesday. Thank you all for the good luck vibes, jane
