Terrified ov catching Coronavirus

I’ve been struggling with my chest for a few weeks now.

I had two lots of antibiotics, but then was told last week I have pleurisy.

I’m allergic to prednisolone.

Now I’m scared to go back to gp cos of the rise in cases.

I’ve not been out of the country, but how easy is it to catch?

My husband works for a cash and carry so is repping,he is in and out of shops daily, meeting and shaking hands with shopkeepers, also public.

My son is a delivery lorry driver and currently lives at home.

I’m scared 😦 about getting it with my current state of health.

I was given fostair inhaler but it’s not touching it.

In pain from inflammation in my right lung

Thanks Snatam

I’m the same, really frightened of catching coronavirus.

I’m not ill, but have a lot of mucus ,I think it’s the cold weather. I try to avoid crowds, did go to drs for a blood test, but sat on my own and didn’t talk to anybody.

I wash my hands a lot and always have alcohol gel in my pocket.

Look after yourself

Thanks I’m doing all the same things,I’m awaiting a call from local gp.

Too scared to go to surgery with rise in cases.

Too risky,I’m in Derbyshire.

Could you get them to thoroughly wash hands with soap and warm water when they get in? That would help you in the home along with washing communal areas (ie door knobs) in very hot water.

Try not to worry, it's not good for you either. Take care. P

Snatam,Don't be offended or hurt, that really would be a waste of your emotions, just take on board some of the useful stuff that people will post and try to get your family to understand your concerns,i am sure when they realise how susceptible you are to infections they will take a little more care in reducing the risks. :) x

I was replying to someone who knew somehow you weren't going to catch it. This is a public forum

I completely understand you, I am terrified, too. I have bronchiectasis, live in a shared accommodation with my child. I am the only one in this house with an underlying health condition. Although I take all precautions that I can, I cannot make other house mates do the same. They laugh the corona virus off...there's no hand washing routines on their part or anything. Some of them drive cabs (esp airport transfers), so they could easily be exposed to the C.V. and bring it home. Terrifying.
