Pneumothorax

Hi all

Am back home from my scan and although the biopsy it self went well the

Pneumothorax did not...what a bummer after an hour in my stomach going in and out of the scanner every minute ( used to find the tumour) not a problem but confusing if you don't know what is going on...and for some reason I lost my spanish...to finally be finished to find I had a collapsed lung. After waiting awhile I managed to ask what was going on and was told that the surgeon was running down he corridor by now my breathing was horrible. In comes surgeon me still on the scanner bed..he grabs a scalpel cuts a hole in my chest...has a very large needle and pokes it in and after a rush of blood running down my neck ..the comforting sound of air rushing out and my breathing much better. Dont believe the movies...no biro and swiss army knife is going to do to do the job..

. Back to the ward to my darling daughter...and spent another 3 days connected to a machine to suck out remaining gunk.

Happily back home to my little dog and wait for results.

Did ramble on a bit...sorry had to get it off my chest ha! ha!

Oh my goodness Ragrug 😱was it the biopsy that caused it? I have hear bronchscopies can sometimes cause this. How terrifying for you. Luckily the doctor was quick. I hope you get better very soon the there will be no issue with the biopsy. xx 👋
