Hello 2 greys sorry for your news.I am new to this site but have been on the copd for sometime.

Now Discovered by accident I have a 4 cm tumour on my left lung.Am waiting on a biopsy to confirm if cancerous. My lung doc thinks it is.I am 80 years young and have lung problems for years so didn't think a anything of my new cough.I am an optimist and a glass half full type of girl.

So I am hoping that they will treat me if it is bad news.I am in Spain and have great respect for the medical services here.( my daughter had a kidney transplant 5 years ago...great sucess).

I'm sorry this is all a out me but i do Wish you all the luck and retirement isn't too bad.

Best regards Ragrug

Hi Ragrug, I am so sorry to hear that news. Cancer is a wicked disease, as is any lung disease. Hopefully, if confirmed, they can go ahead and treat it. There are 4 options to treat it, so one of them will be right for you. I have heard great things about the Spanish health service as well. Let's know how things progress.

Remember that having a positive mind can really make a difference to recovery as does exercising and keeping fit.

Good luck, Ragrug. My 83 year old trumpeter friend had a lobectomy last year to remove an asbestos related tumour and is back playing his trumpet in our band. Hope all goes as well for you too. All the best.
