Hi all, first timer here.
I live over in sunny Poland, and about two weeks back I came down with a bit of a cough. Now, my doctor thought it was bronchitis and put me on anti-biotics, which didn’t clear. So went back again today to then get referred for an x-ray. Now, me and my wife translated the x-ray results as ok, however my doctor said not, although I can’t for the life of me find where the red flag is in the following statement.
‘Lung fields with a marked interstitial drawing, without parenchymal densities and focal lesions. Free diaphragmatic and rib angles. Middle shadow within normal range.’
The doctor now thinks I have mild pneumonia and I am on super powered anti-biotics. Plus the x-ray did actually show what appeared to be infection.
But, going back to the x-ray result, what in that statement is the red flag? The doctor actually said before she even saw the x-ray there was something not right just based on the description.
My concern is that I come from a family who has historic pulmonary disorders, and despite the fact that I am a non smoker and only just past forty, and extremely active, and I see the word ‘interstitial’ in there.
Anyone had that kind of result description before?
