Hi House1

I have lifelong bronch. I am 69. I fly anywhere I wish with no problems. I flew to the US and back this summer.on a long haul flight I try to get near the loo because as the pressurisation kicks in it loosens all of the gunkand a good clear out follows.Feel marvellous for days afterwards!Enjoy your time in Ireland.

Thank you i am going x

I am wondering if you are doubtful of going to Ireland because of the corona virus. I would wear a mask in the airport but I would think that Ireland wouldn’t be a risk. It is not at the top of the Chinese visiting list whereas Stratford upon Avon is!

It's reported that face masks are of little use against airborne bacteria or viruses. They might help a bit in the case of the splash of people coughing and sneezing. :)

Well that’s what I would be wearing it for. Better than not. There is one for sale on amazon with a valve which is supposed to be very effective. As for me, until our country get a handle on the thousands of tourists from the far east who are milling around our tourist centres I am withdrawing from my volunteer guiding job.

Should have no problems with that. I have asthma and bronch and have flown to the other side of the world. Make sure you take some meds with you as I have found I can sometimes pick up infections on very short haul. Be prepared. x
