Palliative care advice

I’m on a syringe driver and can have prn (booster) every two hours. On top of that I can have 2 doses of oramorph and larazapan in a 24hour period. I’m also on Oxygen 24h.

The other day I had a very bad “attack “ of being breathless and I was pretty much begging for some sort of relief but was told (by the nurses) there was nothing they could give me until my next booster was due. This was the worst one I’ve ever had as the constant feed from syringe driver has controlled it (until now since having the syringe driver )

Has anyone had similar happen? Or know of whether there is a way to quickly control these attacks? The nurses are telling me that they are speaking to the palliative care consultants, but thought I’d ask here.

Thanks for any info / advice

I'm so sorry I cannot help but just wondering if you were in a more upright position it might help.

Wishing you the very best Sirrum, it must be a bit scary for you to be so breathless.

😙 and a gentle hug, Peege
