New Year Plan.

The camper van is sitting there

Looking all forlorn

Dolly and Sal are wishing

They could reach to toot the horn

They've been sitting in there

Far too long they think

Their patience is exhausted

And they are on the brink

Of getting out and leaving

And trying to hitch a lift

They'll flash their yellow boomers

If you get my drift

So Midge and I are planning

To take them on a trip

With fish'n'chips and G&Ts

To help them get a grip.

Dolly was a gift from a lady on this group to act as our mascot, Scarecrow Sally, Dolly's sister, was rescued from a fate worse than death on ebay. I don't know who knitted them, but Iris has a relative of my two who she knit herself.

Lets get you off on your travels, with all your companions but please go equiped foranything:- such as thermos flask with hot drink, blankets and bottled water in case of any hold ups and sandwhiches and a few pork pies plus crisps. My campervan is more like a motorhome with a bathroom (flush toilet & shower) hot and cold water on tap and central heating, in fact everything I have at home only smaller. So we are pretty comfortable in there even in winter. 😊 We don't usually stay overnight at this time of the year when the days are so short and the nights so long. Good afternoon Mr.D and thank you for reply. I've now got a memtal image (yes i can almost hear your brain tick tick ticking, with witty remarks!😁), of just how well equipped your motorhome is. Totally brilliant and as you say its almost a smaller version of your home. Excellent! So next question is did you or are you, planning to, go out on a fish'nd chip mission with your ever loyal girls? I had a very nice cod and chips served in , yes, newspaper ...

But it wasn't real newspaper it was what i call "treated" probably due to health & safety etc. etc. Even so it was wonderful ..... so I'd presume you're planning on going coastal so fresh local fish .... oh I'm rather jealous.

So happy New Year to you and Midge and the girls and maybe your next rjyme will tell us followers just what you got up to in 2020 !!!🐿💕

My Sally and family say Happy New Year to you and yours. We are a bit bored with staying in but maybe this week will be a little bit warmer, though not as hot as Sydney! Tony is cooking his sausage and mash today, so I will begin to pack away some of my Christmas decorations. Leaving the tree though, enjoy that. Love Iris x
