Trimbow worries

Hello everyone, I was changed from Spiriva Respimat/Fostair to Trimbow which I started taking this morning. I not only got no relief but my breathing was worse and I took a puff of Ventolin and have just taken another as my breathing still feels laboured. Do you think I should give the Trimbow up now or try it again tonight? Thank you.

As I've never used Trimbow I'm afraid I can't be of any help. I was changed from Spiriva to Braltas but I also have Fostair.

I'm on Trimbow and I felt I wasn't getting much relief from it after a week so decided to go back to my symbicort and eklira. However after talking to my respitory nurses it can take a few weeks to get the best effect so I went back on it and I'm happy just using that now. Definitely taking it once isn't going to give you enough you have to use it twice a day so havnt had your second lot yet. Maybe just keep an eye on things though it's that time of year for us to struggle a bit you may have something brewing. I find Trimbow very effective now.

Ive been on TRIMBO for nearly 2 years now yes it can take a couple of weeks to kick in properly but i recon without Trimbo id be at a loss i feel its made a big difference to my breathing i take 2 puffs at 7.30am then 2 more at 7.30 pm

I have been on Trimbow for a long time and find it really good. First of all are you using a spacer when you inhale, as Trimbow can be too harsh to take directly from the inhaler supplied. Found this out and then our local pharmacist encouraged me to use the spacer and I haven't looked back. Hope that's of some use.

Hi There, I was also put on Trilogy after being on Spiriva and Buet??? (can't remember the name!) I just couldn't get any benefit from it at all. I persevered but eventually went back and asked for something else. I am now on Trimbow but quite honestly I don't feel it is doing any good, I am going to ask the respiratory nurse if there is perhaps something else.

I've no experience with Trimbow, but I had an adverse reaction to another medicine once, and I asked the doctor to revert to my original med. Initially I was refused, but I stood my ground and they conceded. No medicine should make things worse. If they do, you need to go back to what was effective, but PLEASE, only in consultation with your doc.

I do use a spacer free15years, wouldn't be without them!

Regardless,it is still safer and better than Fostair and Simbicort.
