Having a lie in. - by Midge 🐢

β€’41 Replies

For years and years I’ve woke him up

By licking his baldly head

This morning cos it’s Christmas Time

I thought I’d stay in bed

But he wandered all around the place

Like a poor lost soul

Trying to do the things we do

But totally out-of control

I’m going to have to sort him

And I’ve other things to do

I can’t lie her much longer

I need to have a poo.

Still smiling widely Don. Lovely photo. I miss having a dog as I've had one since very young. My cat had to be put to sleep just a month ago and I miss her greatly. I'd love another dog but with my health problems it wouldn't be fair to have another one. Anyway, looking forward to the lighter nights and Spring. Best wishes. Chrys

You are wise, Chrys, Midge and I only just manage and our future is uncertain.

Your wisecracking rhymes keep me smiling Don. There's so much we can all relate to in them. Look after your best friend and I'm sure he'll return the favour. Wishing you a relaxing time over the next few days. Chrys

She wondered why her master had vacated that comfy bed

Was it perhaps she thought something that she had said

But then it dawned on her as the aroma became much stronger

She had farted in her masters bed and boy it was a ponger. :)

Oi, Skis, trust you to lower the tone further.

Uplift, please. And higher, nobler things.

A sad and disappointed Kate, (at least Zebra keeps his bodily functions outside).

The delay was probably due to an awful drug reaction which has taken me several days to recover from but at least I managed to spend Christmas Day with my children and grandchild which was lovely :-) I hope every one had the type of day they desired.

Delighted to hear you have had a nice Christmas day majji as i can't think of anyone who deserves it more.

Love Sirski's and his moggy :) xx

Aww that's very sweet of you SirSki - thank you and I just hope you managed to enjoy a mince pie or whatever you have not been able to eat for a while and that you had an enjoyable day - everyone on here deserves that in my book! I trust the moggy had a Merry Christmas as well?

skischool in reply to majji

Thankfully i don't like mince pies but i put some tinsel on my chicken soup to make it more festive. :) xx

Afternoon Mr.D and Midge .......πŸ’«πŸŒ πŸŒŸπŸ’« ........ You knew it just had to be another one of your πŸ†Classic rhymes!!!! I loved it,especially as it was from MidgeπŸ•πŸΎπŸΎ! I'd expect that you've done the contents of your wallet on Christmas bits and bobs?

Well here's a Merry 🎍 Christmas πŸŽ… to you Mr.D and Midge, not forgetting the two girls who are guarding your campervanπŸ’–πŸ’ž

in reply to SquirrelsHolt

You are right about the rhymes SH, I think it's ORD

Obsessive Rhyming Disorder and I never shall be free.

A Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hi Mr.D and I think you are quite obviously suffering from LORD.

Lots Of Rhyming Don. It's a prolific problem within the literary circle but classic examples can be gauged by the need to please others by daily rhymes! Todate there is no known cure but the urge to rhyme must be allowed otherwise life can appear quite tedious without these rhymes.

That was in the latest edition of the Medical News!😜

Merry Christmas to you. That's very observant of you. Midge has been feeling a bit sorry for herself. She has something wrong with her ear and we have to be up early tomorrow to get to the vet for 9am. πŸ˜•
