Cancer-free! The last cysto (six months ago) showed no neoplasia as well, but I did have a bladder stone. The urologist/oncologist tried to knock it loose with the tip of the cystoscope (mentioning she wished she had a scope with graspers on it) but only broke a piece off...then the blood started to flow so that put an end to that.

So going in for this last exam had me in an awful state of dread. Imagining the pain of ripping that calculus from the bladder wall...

But low and behold, it was gone. I did increase water consumption over the past few months, and often included freshly squeezed lemon juice in it, as the Doctor suggested. Hasn't been proven to reduced kidney/bladder stones, but hasn't been disproven either...so maybe it did help.

And then if I'm still cancer-free next September, I can go back on the recipient waiting list for the double-lung transplant.

I love you all and enjoy reading your posts. Sometimes I think most people can't engage in cognitive empathy, so there's no point in even trying to tell them what COPD is like. After all..." you look fine ".

Xxx cofdrop-UK. Love your username. Very apropos. Mine is of a musical chord...an altered chord is usually a V chord that has either the 5th and /or the 9th raised or lowered.

The 13th (= 6th, octave higher) is actually an extension or colour tone. So say G7... G B D F becomes G B D # (sharp) F, or G B Eb (E flat) F. D# and Eb are the same pitch, just spelled differently. Alterations add more tension to the V chord with a more pleasurable resolve to the I chord (in this case C).

My first notice of an altered chord was with the Beatles' "From Me to You". The last syllable of the middle eight "keep you sa-tis---fied" changes from G7 to G7 (#5) adding great tension.

I love your last line there is no use trying to explain what most of the chronic illnesses feel like and how variable they can be. Glad to hear your results were good. I'm off to ortheopeadics about knee pain treatment on Thursday , they think I need a knee replacement no idea how long the waiting list is for such a major op.
