I'm worried about my master

I know he's got quite old

But he makes it difficult

For me to do as told

We have the same routine each day

So I know what to do

But now he keeps forgetting things

Like letting me out to pooh

He gets in his reclining chair

And sleeps throughout the day

When I would rather be

Outside to have a play

Then when I want a sleep myself

He's up and wade awake

He forgets what time it is

What action should I take?

I'll have to keep reminding him

Then happy we will be.

Last night he ate my Bonio

And gave me cake for tea!

Awe Midge I'm sure your forgetful master will soon sort himself out and things will be back to normal.

Jack,the jack Russel.

Have a great weekend Don, take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx

So, so clever Don, and I bet there will be many of us who will relate to the contents of your poem. Its actually quite a comfort knowing this and that I'm not on my own. Chrys

Hi Midge, Bracken calling. You’ve definitely let your master go. You need an appropriate bark, or to leap on him, or both. My boss and missis don’t realise it but even though I give the impression of being a thoroughly well behaved spaniel I have actually got them well under control by these methods! Lots of love to you and your β€˜boss’ Don.

Bracken, the subversive cocker spaniel xx

Oh my goodness Midge, what is a girl to do?

Sleepy headed Don needs to keep an eye on you.

Daily constitutionals really are a must,

You can’t hold on for hours or are liable to go bust.

Wakey wakey lovely man I need to move apace,

If that gets you nowhere then maybe lick his face!

Thank you once again Don. XxxπŸ‘β€οΈπŸ’–β€οΈ

Hello Midge, I am Cinders, an African Grey Parrot, and I love the occasional Bonio too, it gives my beak a really good workout and is just the right size to hold in my claw.

My carer also collects the dust and crumbs from my pellet food, mixes it with an egg and palm oil then bakes it into little fairy cakes for me. I am lucky and get the best of both worlds.

Good morning Midge and Mr.D! Such a loyal, well educated and clever boy you are .......Midge πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Now maybe a bark or a whimper might get the old fella up from his recliner chair. However if that fails i have had words with our HazelπŸ• and we have a "Plan B". πŸ€«πŸ™Š. Just give us the nod and we'll be over in a jiffy, lol πŸ˜‚.

Great rhyme Mr D & Midge but watch out because

Sassy59 is hot on your tails and maybe just maybe ... after your position? I speak without being able to back up my thoughts but that lady has been steadily learning from the Master of All Rhymes for some time now. 😜

sarsyp.s. Sorry cant delete the "sarsy" word!πŸ’ž

Carole has been a good rhymer since she was a girl I believe. Midge is a female BTW. There’ll be no shortage of rhymes when clogs have been popped. πŸ˜€πŸ˜˜

Great one..but I must tell everyone here that if your more forgetful and sleepy...a bit confused...one of my clients a male had a urinary track infection and it depletes the sodium and potassium in your brain! I noticed in a nursing home my boyfriend RIP was getting confused and not as alert. I asked the nurse to give him a UTI test. Sure enough, he had one! I have seen ladies be put in Nursing homes and all it was is a UTI!!! I get them a lot! So I warn everyone! Even you Mr Don! LOL Janet127

Poor Midge feels she’s neglected so

Despite her life of clover

She really has not much too wrong

At least it’s not all over.

There’s chum for tea and barks galore

While master snoozes gently

With walks and fun and no one glum

It could be much worse mentally!

Does Midge’s name come from that children’s programme, Mary Mungo and Midge? I think it was about two children and a dog.

Ate her Bonio, hahaha!

You really shouldn't have done that.

To do so was a farce.

Go and see your doctor...

Should you start to lick your ar*se.
