WHY won’t BLF campaign lobby to industrial Injuries to have Perscribe Diease List Updated

In resent years have had lots of deals with industrial Injuries Disabledmeant Benetfit

Re there prescribed list when it comes to lung disease AND asbestos and acm.

Soctland accepts asbestos acm causes copd AND even updated pneumoconiosis criteria to reflect asbestos acm

So why as not ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Ireland 🇮🇪

I would not mind if was hard to do BUT according to IIDB it would only take originations to write to governing body.

So why as no body

Perhaps it is covered under section D1 of the act which appears to cover most things associated with asbestosis.you would have to aim your queery at the BLF who are the only ones who would be able to tell you?

gov.uk/government/publicati...

in reply to skischool

To claim D1 you have to have plaura plaque’s no if or buts AND have to have life time exposure.

But is lot different in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

In U.K. Iidb will not accept asbestos acm as cause of pneumoconiosis ONLY coal dust

Quite antiquated like lot of Iidb judges minasters

MP , chase them up, and you answered it in one,

in reply to Jaknite

Mp’s waste time at election 🗳 time ... anyway all’s not lost NOW Iidb tribunal have to voice record proceedings.

That’s becouse Iidb tribunals hearing transcripts are not worth clerks time AND it’s adhoc record of events NOT full transcripts

Be nice if IIDB told you that before hearings BUT that’s are great justice system MORE holes than my socks 🧦

Hi Jeff,

If you'd like to find out more about this, you are more than welcome to email our campaigns team to find out more and perhaps pose the question to them.

Best wishes,

Ben

Hi Ben thanks for reply AND am sure will.

Now I don’t know about you but I thought lung disease caused by asbestos would be all the same

Clearly not as those in Scotland are treated more favourable when it comes to asbestos prescribed disease than those in the rest of the 🇬🇧

Last I heard IIDB had changed things twice in 100 years

Think Last was in 1970s well when it come to asbestos

Hi JAS, as Ben says it might be an idea to email the campaigns team at BLF and put your queries to them. Skis has also sent you a link which could be useful.

Hope you get some answers. Take care. Xxxxxx

Hi sassy whole asbestos Iidb & turner newhall compensation STINKs

And to be honest have major beef 🥩 with them all given inequality

Firstly doctors who can only make asbestosis dx if see plaura plaques.

If they don’t it’s then down to your drug use or smoking or passive smoking NOT a WORD on OCCUPATION that’s how compitant lung doctors are.

thorax.bmj.com/content/53/5...

And it makes me sick SO if lungs are trashed by obstructive and restrictive lung disease and ACM ASBESTOS material you could say it’s pneumoconiosis BUT your lung doctor would never say out unlesss seen plaura plaques dispite evidence AND what they have not asked about occupation’s

But IIDB don’t accept ACM ASBESTOS causes pneumoconiosis even tho is known to cause chronic lung inflammation obstructive restrictive lung disease pneumoconiosis unless they see plaura plaques USALLY after full life time of exposure.

So according to IIDB only coal miners suffer pneumoconiosis AND lung diease.

I don’t think it’s fair given asbestos acm material causes pneumoconiosis but it’s not accepted even tho is well documented.

Yet again doctors can’t tell inflammation caused by silica or asbestos from smoking.

Years ago when cigarettes was using asbestos tips THE might of got away With antiquated thinking but as cigarette use inherit tip ITs not that easy now so make up all kinds of bull.

So your telling me doctor can’t tell cigarette smoke from silca these days AND there apost to be smart one’s

Then you have turners newhall asbestos manafacture asbestos compensation fund where had to work there 3 months to get accesss to there compensation fund.

And that’s given there payroll would know most would not stay Day let alone month AND dispite boss admiting day at one of its plants was enough to seal your fate.

Leaves a bitter taste given funds are apost to be managed by government MAKEs you wonder who is worse.

Jeff, a good start would be to write to your own MP or visit them at their surgery. That is the first step to making/changing policy. I hope you are keeping well, regards

in reply to stamford1234

Done that WHEN tribunals judge said I was eating asbestos in bread 🥖 that’s when discovered court Iidb tribunals transcripts are not full record of proceedings.

So as what judge said was ear say nout could be done ✅

I guess that’s why some bread 🥖 causes bad reflux ALL that environment asbestos getting stuck in throat guts things

Anyway I told judge befoure through my case files all over court HE’s disgrace if he knows people are eating asbestos and dose not warn public

Anyway judge said It’s from antiquated backers commercial ovens AS was lined with asbestos.

Hi JAS and it all is sounding so very complicated, for something that especially with today's technology, should be quite easily proved. I can't profess to knowing anymore than what I've read in your post here and the replies. I agree that you should contact your MP and also try and see what the BLF campaigns team can do to help. All worth looking into as well as the links ,other members have given you.

Hope Dad is doing better at home again and that you are looking after yourself too!💞

in reply to SquirrelsHolt
