Hi, I do sympathise. It could be the Sertraline?

I know I put weight on after taking it for two years although. I was prescribed to help with CFS. I don't think it did though. Tried to come off it in 2016 but had paranoid thoughts so last year I bought a pill cutter and weaned myself off it over 3 months. Now I'm on a regime & lost 9lbs so far.

I think most of us gain weight around the id section in particular after menopause. The only way I have managed to lose any weight is by cutting right down on carbs and generally eating smaller portions. So far I have lost 8lbs so hoping it will bring down a few more lbs yet

After the menopause women need fewer calories per day. Before the menopause my normal calorie intake to be weight stable was around 2000 kcals. Now it is around 1400 kcals. I have three meals a day, don't snack in between, and use a smaller plate to my husband's to help me control my portion sizes.
