Hi everyone, I joined in May this year, then I haven't been on in a while, just started my second time of lung rehab,it really helps, I knew I needed to go to get my lungs working a bit better,I'm doing more minutes and reps of all the excersises than I did last year as I had lung surgery, felt my self getting a bit weak with muscle loss and tiredness, just interestade if lung rehabilitation has improved any one else's breathing and muscle tone?

Hi it's good to see you 😊 I've never been on a pulmonary rehabilitation course but a lot of people here have and say how much it's helped with their breathing. It's great you're able to do more this time. I hope the course continues to be helpful for you 🤞

Hi Dollybow sounds like life and breathing is so much better - the pulmonary rehab I went for a trial and the walking they did there was pretty slow and I was told I do not need it. Interesting because if they asked Me to walk a flight of stairs it would be a different story. I’m so pleased you feel better having half the lung removed 😊

Hi Dollybow, I volunteer at a rehabilitation class, I have been doing it now, weekly, for about three years. The difference I see in people who complete the course is phenominal.

Hi Dollybow, you’re doing all the right things to take care of yourself and not letting your emphysema take over completely.

Many on here sing the praises of PR and Pete is on the list here. Not heard yet. Hope you continue to do well. Xxxxx😘

Rehab I think, is the best medicine around. The problem ive had is following it up..I am now being vetted for my third go....I have reached the point where if I dont get on it, I will have to shop around and find a few like minded souls and set up our own group. Since moving into a bungalow, Ive lost my other means of exercise. The stairs were perfect....a bit of purse lip breathing and then coincide your breathing with each step up. Also the banister upstairs...perfect for dangling your arms over and leaning on to get some breathing done. The other thing is my Wii. With the balance board and ten pin bowling, cycling, tennis etc, I could exercise at home when the weather was bad. Nearly 40 years since I was diagnosed but now becoming a bit of a struggle. I am I giving up, am I In despair? Am I bob.....there are still folk out there that I need to annoy so like you, ever onward, ever upwards.....especially if it's up their nose...
