Midge once again bemoaned the loss of her Peripheral vision and made a mental note to ask Don to take her to Specsavers in the morning. :) x

Midge versus Scruffy who would you back?

Sruffys' got skills poor Midge lacks

She's got claws but he has his bark

He can't, but she can see in the dark

But he has his woof which would scare her to death

A bigger body and much larger teeth

But would Scruffy let this rattle her?

Who do you think would win this battle? x

Oh, this photo made me smile. I needed something to cheer me up as I have just had to have my 22 year old cat, Tiggi, put to sleep. I loved her so much! I had her at two weeks old as her mother was knocked over by a car. I had to feed her with a bottle and stimulate her bits to make her wee. I did all the things the mother cat would have done and I was treated to 22 years of love in return. My daughter buried her in my garden so I am reminded of her each day.

What a fantastic age to have achieved, she must have been so well looked after all her long life and what a big hole she must have left in your life. So sad.

Thanks Don for your kind words. I have had all sorts of animals all my life. I would love to get another dog but as I have a lung disease I wouldn't be able to exercise it each day. There is a neighbours cat who I have fed for a couple of years thinking it was a stray, so at least I have some contact with an animal.

in reply to RoadRunner44

I have to admire your neighbour's cat who sounds to have be conning you into giving him/her extra meals all that time. 😂

You are quite right actually as this little cat can be a fussy eater at times. He sniffs the plate of food and if not to his satisfaction turns round and sits up expectantly. What do I do? give him something more to his taste. My fault of course but my heart justs melts. Animals just do it to me.

I'm so sorry to know about your cat Tiggi. 😿

Hello, and thank you for sending me your kind words, Animals are wonderful. There are dogs who rescue, help the blind and go in to hospitals or care homes. Just stroking one makes you feel better. At the moment I still look for my cat expectantly, then remember she's not there any more. I know life goes on no matter what but if you've cared for a pet for a long time there is a huge void in your life.

Thanks for taking the time to post me, I really appreciate it.

Love it. Never ceases to amaze me where cats can get. Hope you have a good weekend Don-1931, Do not think there will be many more left this year BRIAN

in reply to Bingo88

Thanks Brian. I'm a dog man myself but I have a great respect for cats. I often wonder what caused that basic instinct that makes them dislike each other when so many become great friends when living together. 🤔
