Isle of Wight break update

Well we had a lovely break even though feeling shattered now im back, managed the 30 stairs slowly due to the lift still not working. The journey was good though a lot crammed into three days, worth it the weather was windy but warm and the sea air felt beneficial to breathing. So many beautiful places visited by car and fresh fish sampled on the seafront at Ventnor washed down with a splash of Wine. Now I am home I have made a pact with myself to get out more and walk as I have over the past few days. Would love to put a photo of the sea views but im not very teccy if that is even a word lol .Loved the train from the pier in Ryde to the Esplanade a right old bone shaker old London tube train brilliant.X

It’s a lovely Island soul-123, where did you stay? We usually do the Warner hotel at Bembridge. Very nice. Xxxxx

Pleased that you had a great time and managed the stairs okay. In fact if you ever return, the island railway can take you from Ryde all the way to Shanklin, a scenic ride along the coast, then a bus to Ventnor:

I live in Southampton and have been across to the island many times in the past.

Hi Soul, pleased you had a good holiday and managed the stairs ok, that was some feat ! I’ve never been to the Isle of Wight, it’s definitely on my to do list as I’ve heard some good things about it. Back to normality now ( whatever that is ) same for us from tomorrow as we fly home then. Take care. X
