Never give up. Try and find other things to do too. Maybe you have a community centre nearby or somewhere where you can meet like minded people. Good luck to you. Xxxx ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’–

Hi Hun, I have a Dear Scottish Friend in our Breathe Easy Group, he is early 60's. He keeps us all enthralled with his Dating escapades, he has just recently bought his own Tartan to have made into a Wonderful Kilt, I think he should have better Luck when wearing this. Don't give up as COPD is not an excuse Not too, as you say on an Island it's not easy. Good Luck Hun. XXXX

Never give up Scottish lass,i would come and rescue you but i'm not a good swimmer, and they do say there are plenty of fish in the sea so maybe you need to spread your net a little wider and you might find the catch of your dreams. :)

Keep smiling Ski's and Scruff's x

Never ever give up thereโ€™s someone out there for everybody. Also, try and get out and about to different places you never know who you may meet.

Iโ€™ve been on my on for 11 years now, slightly different I have no intention of getting into a relationship. Three times married is enough I feel and I ainโ€™t going to start washing underpants and socks again!!

Do you mind if I ask what stage of COPD you have as stairs are usually tough with COPD.

Scottish65lass profile image
Scottish65lass in reply to jackdup

Itโ€™s stairs and steep inclines I struggle with

Well, if you have COPD or any other lung disease those stairs , hills and slopes are definitely difficult even on the best of days. xx ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Thatโ€™s certainly wonderful if you donโ€™t have COPD.

guytane in reply to jackdup

but the breathing test in hospitail says I have but 8 years ago it was borderline mild the doc said but if I had copd surly I could not lift concrete fence panels above my head as me and my freaid put a fence up and had to lift the base panls above are heads must weigh 100 kilos each and I never once got out of breath but nurse said tests can b wrong sometimes

Caspiana in reply to guytane

That's nice, but also expected if you don't have COPD.

Very good for you. I am happy for you. But for us with a diagnosed disease that has progressed and sets us so many limitations, it is not as easy to escape the harsh and life limiting symptoms.

guytane in reply to Caspiana

I see you had a lung transplant wot was your breathing like b for it

Caspiana in reply to guytane

Hello Scottish65lass .

It must be difficult if you are in a small community. I have zero experience with dating sites but imagine it must be quite daunting . Is it possible to meet people through some kind of group like say a walking group ? Please know that just because you have COPD, you in essence are still you. The illness does not define you at all. And in fact having a disease actually makes us more empathetic (I think) and kinder people. You are a lovely person. Just keep being you and enjoy doing the things you love. I always believe things fall into place at the right time.

Sending you happy thoughts.
