I received a letter from the department which deals with PIP this morning and dreaded opening it as I am due for a reassessment next month after 3 years on the benefit. I have been so worried that I would be reassessed and lose it.

I was so surprised to find that as I am now of pensionable age, the benefit will be paid for a full 10 years and I will now have it until 2026. Absolutely fantastic news which I hope many more of you will be receiving over the next few days.

All I have to do now is to last that long so I can collect it. :-)

That is good news. I am due a reassessment next year (am also pensionable age). I heard that this might be rolled out this summer so lets hope others will get the same letter. Hope you will 'live long and prosper' to coin a phrase.

Yes I was awarded it for 10 years as well. I don't see why not as its not as though we are going to improve is it?
