Had test results yesterday 're the problems I had when my Consultant changed my Sirdupla Inhaler to FOSTAIR. Fostair caused a lot of side effects and allergic reaction. Good news I do NOT have an infection and sputum results clear .problem though as sputum is very thick and sticky and sticking in my throat causing me to panic as feels like choking. All other side effects disappeared once my Respiritory Nurse put me back on Sirdupla.

I am now taking 40mg Predisone to open up airways which I have to take for 2 weeks

The Panic attacks have stopped and I was advised to inhale Olbas Oil to thin out mucus. Last night I put a few drops in my Humidifier and also a few drops on a handkerchief and had a fantastic nights sleep with no choking feeling. I also have a rescue pack of Lorazepam which I take if feeling anxious. Half a 1mg tablet which is 0.5mg. Very difficult to cut a tiny tablet in half almost impossible. Then to keep second half as that usually shoots across the room never to be seen again.

I am back to normal now (if I ever was normal) and have said in future don't mess with my medication if it is working ok. At least I found I had a lovely Respiritory Nurse at my surgery who I can call anytime. I never knew she was there, unbelievable.

I wish you all a good day , I am off out for some more Retail Therapy. It works for me.

Good news then πŸ˜ƒ You can buy a pill cutter, not expensive from your pharmacy. Cuts even little pills cleanly. P

Great news Garshe. I dont know why the medical profession keep altering peoples meds, especially when they work so well. Okay it may be cheaper but it isnt cost effective if you have to keep going back to the gp and using the doctors time. So glad you are feeling better and having a little retail therapy, nothing like it if you are feeling good x

Thanks again Sheila. I've been using Sterimar for a while now and use the hayfever and allergies one as it is for nasal hygiene and sinus problems as well. Great feeling using the olbas oil at night xx
