What causes lung translucency

I had a ct of my lung which said 'slightly increased translucency of the lung parenchyma , perhaps related to chronic airway disease'. I'm 49 and never smoked. Can anything else cause this and would this present any symptoms. I have no idea if result is good or bad. I notice I don't have usual exercise capacity and an ache over chest. It also said no lung consolidation and some calcification of coronary arteries.

Genetic condition called McLeod’s Syndrome is only one I know causes lung translucency but that usually only effects males

Might have chromosomes disorder .. genetic’s developing science that holds answers cures AND unless we ask or start asking for test cures questions will remain un answered

Thank u. Can COPD cause it or immunosuppressant treatment (I had this is september 2018)?

Clearly am no expert AM just speculating IF was me and this was my sheet.

I would think vascular heart or genetic that as manafested in lung issues.

So I would ask my lung doctor about hyperinflated lungs and vascular supply

Thank you. That's very helpful. Cardiologist has said heart is functioning ok. Saw GP last week and he has requested some blood tests for auto immune conditions and he did mention vascular so I might push that line of enquiry. It's like joining the dots at the moment😅

Unless heart doc lung doc start working together things never improve.

Most wont step on each other’s toes and we are stuck in middle

But yer think your making inroads into condition AND that as to be good thing
