I went to place my vote today

My dog was quite distraught

She had nowhere to put her cross

Her life amounts to naught

I don't know who'd have got her vote

If she had one to give

Unless there was a butcher man

Standing where we live

I could tell she was unhappy

A right disgruntled pup

She left them a little message

I was quick to pick it up

Labour have a stranglehold and there are no other candidates of note

We have a mayor in Manchester who is nothing but a clown

Everything he does or says just makes me want to frown

This year dear Scruff's attended and offered the man her paws

Not many cats bother to vote and she received much applause

So my advice to you dear Don on every election day

Is let your 4 legged friend always have her say

They may not change the world or bring about much joy

And as far as vote rigging goes it's not much of a ploy

But it really is quite amusing when they they leave a little cross

And who they actually vote for matters not a toss
