drink plenty of water, take carbocisteine as prescribed if you don't have it prescribed speak to your doctor about getting some. Both drinking plenty of water and carbocisteine helps keep the mucus more fluid and easier to cough up. Also flutter device etc again check with your doctor.

Hi Bkin just wanted to say thank you for sharing the video, I found it very interesting indeed 👌👍, hope you’re having a nice day so many people are enjoying the sun. Not sure if you’re able to do this but enjoy your day anyway as much as you can 🌹🌹

I also sip warm water in the mornings and that helps too

I think that Carbocisteine would help you thamesbob. I take 3 a day & have productive mucus plus am able to finally blow my nose again. Steaming also works well it's just not that convenient to do sometines.

Good morning..I have this problem.are your pillows low.COPD lungs don't like lying down.ive been much better with an extra pillow or two...breathe deep through your nose and then blow as long as you can..like blowing lots of candles out..hope this helps a little.

When my breathing and cough gets worse, I use a wedge pillow with another pillow on top for comfort. I find it much more comfortable being propped up than laying down.

A warm drink helps me. Difficult in the middle of the night I know.

Hi TB I always find that hanging my head as low as possible (I grab my ankles) helps as gravity assists with drainage.

That’s frightening and if it were me I would see my gp. Just to be on the safe side. Hope you rest easy this weekend. Good wishes

I think you might have a bit of an infection there. Get to the Drs. my dear a course of antibiotics never hurt anyone. Please don't sit on the edge of the bed coughing away. You are better than that

Just a thought & this maybe wrong but have you been checked for thrush? Might be worth discussing with your doc. a simple sputum test would confirm or not & could check for infection as well. Good Luck- you’ve had lots of good advice here.
