For a year or more I have suffered swollen glands, resulting in tightness of the throat and pain which increases when swallowing. Also, repeated ear infections and, currently, dramatic hearing loss left ear. After industrial quantities of drugs over the years - for pseudomonas back infection (twice), chronic pain, a TIA, three heart procedures incl. Pacemaker - I'm thinking it may be nerve damage and lowered immune system. Imaging suggest no lymphoma. ENT, neurologist, maxilo facial and facial pain specialists cannot explain. Suggestions?

Swollen glands...why?
The only thing I know about continual swollen glands is glandular fever probably unrelated to your other conditions ,have you had swob taken from throat, hope you get it sorted soon
Hi jra-vincent .
Hmmm... A tricky one. I had swollen glands in my neck a lot as a child and for years into my late twenties. They never really knew why. About eleven years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and was started on quite aggressive immunosuppressive drugs. After that, I never had problems with my glands again. I don't know if there was actually any correlation between the two, but I feel like there may have been. My over active immune system attacked so many things including my lungs. I know how very frustrating and painful it is. All I can say is keep the investigations going.
Sending warm wishes,
