Hi whit, yes I believe that can happen. Pete alternates between azith and doxy which is what he’s using temporarily now. He has a chest infection.

Have you had any sputum tests done? That might pinpoint the infection. Speak to your doctor.

Wishing you well. Xxxx

🤣 yes I’m sure. Xxx

Azithromycindoesn’ cover against all bacteria. Another bug may be running riot in there. Has yourdoc tested your mycus to find out? Ifno answers there get in touch withyour consultant’s secretary to get advice or an appt with the consultant.

don't have a consultant, my doc was a expert on respiratory probs ,did three days a week in our local hospital ,but he retired last year , along with a couple of more docs , we have a new intake now who are maybe not so clued up .

Do you have copd or bronchiectasis? Either way your condition is not being succesfully controlled by your surgery. It is your health that we are talking about and so you need to find a way to source the help. If you have bronch, look for a bronch specialist in your area on the internet.Usually at large teaching hospitals. Take the name to one of the GPs and insist on a referral. If you have copd, you need to see a GP who specialises in that or a general respiratory consultant. The practice should be able to tell you if one of the new doctors has expertise in respuratory conditions. The amount of infections which you are having is not right and needs more expert management. I’m afraid that we have to be pro active in our own interests and vociferous on sourcing treatment and management. Too many medics allow is to quietly deteriorate because they don’t know what to dobut don’t want to admit it. Good luck

Just thought I’d say hi sorry I don’t know the answer ,I’m on it now since July last year but iv to stop taking it due to having infections every single month I was told it doesn’t help everyone. I’m so sorry to hear your feeling so unwell, I do hope you start to feel better soon, are you on any antibiotics? Can I ask what lung problem you have im just interested in the different ways people feel or how they’re treatment plan is , I have copd and small blood clots in both lungs also wear and tear and scarring of the lungs. I’m on a whole load of medication if you want you’ll see in my last post , I do hope your better soon maybe a trip to see your dr nxt week before you get and feel any worse . All the best to you I hope to hear how your getting on quite soon. I’m sure someone with a lot more knowledge than me will be along to give you some good advice, all the best whit and take care 🌹🌹🌹
