Yellow soft paraffin - update

Thank you everyone for your comments about the paraffin cream.

I queried their usage of it and one of the nurses followed through, checked with pharmacy, and now Southampton General will NOT be using yellow paraffin for patients on oxygen!

Thanks again everyone, without your support I might not have questioned it, when I was reassured by so many professionals that it was OK.

I'm still shocked that they originally thought it was ok to use.

I know, they also use an ointment to guard against MRSA, which goes in the nostrils and has white parrafin in it!

They're going to have to change that one too!
