Every tooth in my head aches. Maybe I have outlived my teeth. Is there something in these puffers, usual stuff. Ventolin. Salbutamol. Braitus. Also my tongue has swollen and I have little ulcers around my lips. Something not quite right. It sneaks up on you

It’s recommended to gargle after using powdered inhalers. Your pharmacy may offer some treatment for your mouth ulcers.

It sounds as though something is amiss stamford. Sod's law it's Friday so GP is closed. The pharmacist might help as Stone suggests.

I believe there's a little shrinkage around the teeth/gums due to age and/or steroid use.

In my experience the few times all my teeth and jaws hurt was due to chronic sinusitis. Good luck. P

Get to the dentist, he will probably tell you that you have the teeth of a 114 year old man, which could get interesting if you wear dentures. 😉

my teeth are the same only happened when I started this disease 3 years ago and put on inhalers literally my teeth started breaking from the gum line only have 3 left at top also felt my tongue was swelling asked doctors and chemist and dentist nobody has an answer

I wrote a reply but somehow deleted it 🙄 I take good care of my teeth and until recently had no problems with them. Now they've started crumbling away. I have no back bottom teeth, I can't eat anything hard and have difficulty biting into things.

Often my tongue is sore too which I don't know if it's related or not.

Steroid inhalers are known to cause dental issues, and all patients should be instructed that they should rinse their mouth out after use as a result, but it seems that few are. We rinse and then I give my littleun about twenty minutes before sending her up to brush her teeth - immediately brushing can lead to enamel loss due to an overly acidic ph that stems from the inhaler. So far, after a decade of inhaled steroid use, her teeth are still fine. You can get adult versions of bonjela to help treat and soothe mouth ulcers, but this may be one for the gp to get it under control and then make sure you rinse going forward.

Hi I was told by ENT to always use a spacer with inhalers, since using it the swelling in my mouth and throat have done down and my voice has come back. This might help.

I'm usually OK but have issues with high sugar drinks like the non-alcoholic ginger drinks for Holland and Barrett: the whole of my mouth aches after drinking them now, probably because of thin teeth.

Inhalers can effect the inside of your mouth if you do not follow a strict mouthwash proceedure after use. But other things can cause it too. Try warm salt rinses after all food till you can see a dentist. There are sprays you can get from chemist to ease mouth pain and bonjela that is used for teething babies is good too as temporary help.

I have had the same problem with my gums lifting or Shrinking at the top of my teeth

I went to my dentist and he has filled in the gaps so when I smile I don’t feel paranoid of my teeth anymore

This was done at my private dentist well worth having done .

I started using a sensitive toothpaste and my teeth improved immediately...I do rinse after each inhalation.

Use a Corsodyl mouthwash after using your inhalers and get some Duraphat toothpaste, it will harden the enamel, and use it at bedtime, you need a trip to the dentist as well, just to make sure all is well x

I'd forgotten about this post and was just doing a search about Teeth. My teeth situation has worsened and now I have whole teeth dropping out. Teeth that neither crumbled or had a filling. The other day a tooth felt a bit odd, I gently poked it with my tongue to see what was going on, the whole tooth fell out. I've kept it (??!) as evidence but I'm not sure why or for whom, to show that it's not just my crumbling teeth that are falling out but also whole intact teeth. It's horrible! It's like being in a nightmare where my teeth all fall out (yes I really have those nightmares!)

HH you have to get to hospital. . Something is not right. Do A swish round with your Corsodyl and be good to yourself. Do a 999 They will look after you
