I won 🤣

If any of you remember I was dismissed from work last year due to my respiratory issues always had a “fit note “ but this was not good enough (they are one of these companies who want proof you are in the morge to have a day off) 😃 well I decided to take them to the top it went to court and I won. They unfairly dismissed me and paid me out. So anyone out there who works for for a company who don’t care about their workers and don’t accept fit notes if you get dismissed go all the way!

Well done and good for you. I bet that feels good. Taking those steps though does depend on whether or not the company follows the letter of the law, unfortunately mine did but still dismissed me for sickness. I was going to take them to tribunal thinking they would cave in but they called my bluff. My solicitor said my chances were at best 50% and the employer threatened me with claiming for costs if they won. I gave in. x

Hi hyper cat that is a common ploy used by employers and then so called unions at the first indication of that will drop the case. It is an awful situation to be in. Congratulations Nik72 though

Good for you.happened to my friend and she took them to court. Some of these companies think they can walk all over you. It's the similar when mum has to take time off work because her child is poorly. And they are willing to use their holidays to look after their child. I used to work through my breaks to make the time up especially if it was only a couple of days. Some companies think they can walk over the little people

Congratulations hunny I'm going through similar just now BUT mainly they don't want me taking my morphine breakthrough at work especially on nightshift said I could be stoned out my head or sleeping

So I'd best go home and give them a sickline been to occupational health twice BUT they just said tell your GP to increase the morning and evening doze so you don't need the breakthrough like its that easy I've been on it for 5 yrs why suddenly now is it a problem seems to be since my emphasima and blocked arteries diagnosises this has been an issue so like you I'm waiting to see if there trying to find Way to get rid off me BUT well done everyone of us deserve to be able to keep our jobs if we're no danger to the public. The people we support. Or ourselves makes me so mad xx
