Laser Therapy for Pulmonary Fibrosis

Hi everyone. I have been reading about Laser Therapy for PF over on Pulmonary Fibrosis News. It sounded promising and I thought it may be of interest to others.

Rather than explain it myself it may be easier to link directly to their forums.

There are two topics:

pulmonaryfibrosisnews.com/f...

pulmonaryfibrosisnews.com/f...

Nobody is claiming this to be a cure but several people are responding positively to it in terms of easier breathing and improved 02.

Hi Winfar, Well, I've had a go at this myself. On my fourth session so still early but my O2 has increased from 92/3 to 95/6. Still to feel any easy breathing benefits but I've had a bad cold this last few weeks which doesn't help. It won't renew fibrous tissue but the hope is it will slow down/stop progression.

K Lasers are used by osteopaths and chiropractors. You can find a list of providers at the bottom of this page: klaseruk.co.uk/patients/

You may have to refer them to the Pulmonary Fibrosis News forum which explains all the details. This is very new and even in the US most Laser providers won't have seen PF clients before. Although if they contact K Laser there is now guidance on how to treat the PF patients

Hi all. I've now had 20 sessions of Laser therapy. Pleased with the results. 02 sats are up from 92-94. I have more energy to do things and, although it's taken a while, my breathing has improved - especially on the days I have the laser therapy. The real bonus of course will hopefully be felt over time as progression is slowed or even stopped, as has happened with the albeit small number of people who have experienced laser therapy for some time.

They have a topic on Pulmonary Fibrosis News - not an easy forum to navigate but it does provide more information:

Having heard that this therapy is supposed to be good for IPF, I found a Practice that can do this to the published procedure not far from where I live. I started treatment yesterday. I have been booked in for 9 treatments, 3 per week. Lets see how how I get on. Right now my resting sat is 93% sometimes just gets to 94%, 6 months to a year ago it was 95%. I will post here what results I get. All the best to you all.
