OK so I had a single lung transplant 2.5 years ago and doing great. But my 9 year old daughter wants a Guinea pig!! My question is am I safe to be around it? I'm panicking a little because she's so desperate for one and I dont want to disappoint her

I have read of people owning cats post transplant but they cannot change the litter tray. And many people have dogs. I think it's a very case by case issue and the best thing to do would be to contact your transplant hospital and find out for certain. I do understand your daughter's feelings. My two wanted hamsters when they were little! 😊 Take care. xx
