I'm about to start this but have been told to stop the Respimat I've been on for a couple of years. Are most asthmatics pleased with this ?

I was hoping someone would reply to this because I’ve never heard of Trimbow being used for the treatment of asthma. Everything I’ve seen describes it as a combination inhaler for copd. How many inhalers did you have before starting Trimbow? It’s a triple combination medication and as far as I know it replaces either 2 or 3 inhalers. Did you only have the Respimat? Sorry to ask so many questions! I hope it helps you anyway 👍

It's known as "triple therapy", a three in one HH - a steroid, a bronchodilator and an anti-muscarinic one similar to Spiriva. All those drugs get used for asthma as well as copd and as you'll know many of us have both.

Thanks 👍 I’d just never seen Trimbow described as anything other than a medication for COPD. I think even the leaflet thing calls it a treatment for COPD. It makes sense that it would be used for the treatment of asthma too. But this is the first time I’ve heard anyone say they’ve been prescribed it for asthma.

By the way, earlier today I was looking at Margaret Time To Drink’s post about user names and I saw how you got yours, that is so cool! Major respect to you. It takes a lot of courage to stand up for what you believe in. 😎🌲🌳🌴

Many thanks for the second para HH. Re Trimbow and asthma, I personally havent been prescribed it although I do also have asthma dating from my early 20s. But the anti-muscarinic component of it (spiriva etc) dries me up so much it's just not possible. Which is a pity. Regards to you :)
