i have c.o.p.d and i get the atendance allowance i get the higher rate because it is so bad . i also have high blood presure and lots more other things do you know if i can get a blue badge parking permit T.I.A

I agree with Bernadette - I have one and Ive had it for years, I think even before I became severe. What you need to remember is to fill in the form - which you get from your local council - according to your worst days. So when they ask you how far you can walk put the lowest amount when you feel worst etc etc. Keep a copy in case they call you in for an interview. That's never happened to me but they are entitled to do so. And if they do, make sure you really look disabled as you get out your car as they have been known to watch from the windows. Awful world we live in when we need to be devious to obtain what should be a basic human right. Good luck!

Hi thamesbob, yes go to your local council and apply for one it might cost £10 I think long as you got copd and say you struggle to walk you should get it, good luck m8.

I have the blue badge if you get the higher rate you should definatly get the badge

Im in uk i have mild copd & arthritis in both knees and i have a blue badge my wife has stronger copd than me she struggles first thing in a morning when she gets up we have never claimed for it cos not sure how or even if we would get it ,it would come in handy as we are both in our 70,s.
