Session 7, Pulmonary rehab.

Wow. That's my first impression of session No 7.

I really struggled last night with very sticky almost immovable mucus' from about 02:30 onwards I was sat up on the side of my bed quite breathless, really talking to myself to keep calm and rational. After huffing and several shots of Ventolin, almost standing on my head, trying to get it moved by gravity and posture, a lump of phlegm about as big as my thumbnail coughed up and I started to feel better. I was convinced I would not be going to PR today

Anyway as you can see my the title I did indeed make it after all, and really gave the session some stick. Starting on the "bike" My first ride was 5 mins and 36 secs. The second ride was 5mins dead, total time of 10 mins 36 secs is an improvement of4 mins over last Friday.👍.

Got recovered breathing and did usual 3x 10 for all the weights, did the dreaded walk voluntarily and then walked to the wall bars to do the heel lifts.

I am soooo pleased with progress today, I can't believe how I have come on since I started 4 weeks ago. Back in for seesion8 on Friday. Love to all X

Chris.

You could talk to your doctor about buying a nebuliser. I use mine with 7% salt solution which is prescribed by my doctor. Nebulising helps to loosen the mucus.

Thanks for the comment, I have had a nebuliser for years, however Amy consultant recommended limited use because I have Bronchiectasis and should avoid getting my lungs too wet.
