Hi Servicer. Don’t be put off by my comments as it obviously works for some and you might be lucky. Last year my consultant advised my levels were at a stage where he recommended it but he could not prescribe it so I would have to transfer to a bigger hospital. I suffered unpleasant side effects so was taken off it and similarly the alternative so was sent back to my local hospital. I saw the original consultant this morning and asked if I was unique with my reactions. His reply was that the opposite was the case in his experience.

Hi Servicer, I have IPF and been on nintedanib since May 2017. Over the last 18 months I have had a few on the side effects since starting the medication loss of appetite, nausea and diarrhea but they usually don't last to long. You will need to find what food substances don't agree with you and the medication. I have found out that pineapple juice helps, white bread is better than wholemeal or granary, I try to avoid spicy food, massive bodyswerve of anything high in fat or fried fish as it just doesn't agreed with me afterwards. We are all different and the medication affects us all differently. Any question just ask, you will be amazed what knowledge people on here have.

I am taking Ofev at the moment, been on it now for 15 months. Side effects can at times be trying though, particularly the Diarrhea , I think it is keeping me stable
