Hi my wife & i are both 70 we both have copd hers is a lot worse than mine i also have really bad arthritis in both knees which combined with my copd makes walking really hard i got my blue badge 3 yrs back due for renewal in Dec the thing is we have never tried claiming any benifits as we dont know what or if any we would be entitled to any advice would be welcome.

Hi there, try calling the blf helpline 03000 030 555 (lines open Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm, they have people who can advise on this. Hope you get sorted soon. Irene x

You may qualify for attendance allowance. Best to seek advice, maybe from help the aged . Now is the time to reapply for your blue badge, i.e 1 month before expiry.
