111 Dentist v Private

And I can say GOSH they defo no how to take the mick.

111 could not find NHS dentists taking patients on AND most private dentists WANT £250 to extract a tooth

NHS & Private want £90 per tooth that’s after £50 consultation and X-ray

Defo been tad since I was at dentists AND only thing that’s changed is prices and tv advertising.

Hi that’s very well

If taking NHS patients on but as I found and 111 none local to me are taking nhs on but are private.

These dentists should be taken down peg or two AND I propose should be subject to market forces thus there should be dentists price comparison site Like is for insurance holidays etc lol

That would sort lot of the dodgy scamming practices out

Oh I only put that up because you said NHS and private wanted £90 a tooth. I don't know what private charge but the NHS don't charge that much. x

I take alendronic acid and steroids so I have to go to the dental hospital for an extraction so that's free.

It’s crazy how expensive dental treatment is. I have a serious dentist phobia, and I was upset by how rude the dentist was to me because of my crumbling teeth, saying I don’t take care of my teeth, so I avoid going to the dentist for those reasons, but also because of how expensive it it. When I had dental treatment, first I had X-rays which I was charged for, then I had an extraction at a separate appointment at the hospital, which I was also charged for. It was an nhs dentist and doesn’t seem to fit hypercat’s price bands, although maybe because mine was split into 2 appointments I was charged for both. I don’t have a dentist now anyway because the whole practice has gone private and everything else has got a huge waiting list just to get accepted onto their books. So I didn’t register with anyone.

I think lot nhs dentists say not accepting patients only private ones to extract max amount of cash.

My teeth are bad from previous dentists chipping damaging my other teeth getting ones out wanted removed.

I remember asking for letter of last dentists after he nearly smashed my jaw trying to extract tooth

Five injections I needed just for one tooth BUT was hard as root had grown like fish hook round jaw THATs why I wanted Letter as last time was horrendus.

Needless to say I never got Letter but dentists did say he would have a go ... like really

Hi hungry huff that’s not best of it really HE snapped root in jaw and had no tweezers to get it out hole.

Then he went round reception asking ladies waiting did thay have any tweezers.

That was after telling everyone I was charity case ... guess that made it ok 👌

That is shocking. Both your dental treatment and the attitude. But sadly not surprising.
