Hi .it's been a while since I last posted but I read posts every day but I can't say that I have seen where anyone has had their Sat's machine removed .apparently my reading are pretty much stable .any way I feel so very upset about it I at least felt that my back was being watched and they did give me advice many times due to the readings so it seems I am now back to gp to wait for appointment and call back which can take time .I am so worried and feel like I have been abandoned.I have very severe copd am on L.t.o.t..I have had 11chest infection since November.hope you can ease my worries .thank you Jean

I have to contact my GP, can't understand why they decided to take everything away from us when it worked so well. Now I have to wait for my GP to decide if I need an appointment, I think it's disgusting.

What a shame it's been taken away. It must have been reassuring. What exactly did it measure as I was wondering if you could get an oximeter to measure your oxygen levels and pulse which might provide some reassurance. At least your levels were stable which will be of some comfort.

Take care and wishing you all the best

My tele health has been removed also. Fora while a nurse rang daily instead of the automated telephone system. I was told that the people running the phone system "went bust". It gave a sense of security when diagnosed as very severe, someone to discuss whether to start emergency meds with. Now left with the early morning battle to even get surgery to answer the phone. Shame....

Hi there

Sorry to hear that you have lost what seems to be a very key service to anyone who has a need. I can tell you that my husband who has heart failure was provided with a similar system which he had to transmit his blood pressure and pulse readings and answer a few questions. If anything was amiss he would get a call from a nurse and appropriate action would be taken. Very reassuring. He had the system for about six months when he was informed by letter that in the area where we live there was not enough funding to continue with the service . The equipment has been removed and we must when in need contact our G.P. which is a complete waist of time. I know this mail is of no help to your situation but this is a reminder of how funding cut causes distress.

Wishing you well
