Well finished my 10 day IV and can honestly say by now I no my own body enough to say the infection hasn't gone despite giving it 7 days before the sputum sample goes in after this Dr said if it's still showing a infection then it's long term antibiotics but meanwhile I'm more breathless struggling more with everyday things as much as I want to fight this I'm thinking we'll nothing good is coming out of it because I can't have the immune suppressants because they won't work What is the point fighting a losing battle .😳

HI Dion

Completely understand how you feel. I was like that a couple of months ago but following two months of 100mg Doxycycline daily and using a Bipap machine and changing to Trimbow inhaler I am ALMOST back to normal. Nowhere near as breathless, no cough/sputum at all which I've always had from diagnosis 4 years ago following pneumonia and being diagnosed with Emphysema and Bronchiectasis. I can now manage light gardening, vacuuming etc which I haven't been able to do for over twelve months so don't despair, there's hope out there. Life is worth living after all.

Hope you feel better soon and don't worry about taking long term antibiotics, it's well worth it.

Rose
