Hi , yes I have been on Trimbow since December, and I have found an improvement in my breathing.

Fingers crossed :-)

I've heard only good positive things about Trimbow and am hoping my respiratory nurse will switch me to it from Ventolin which isn't doing much for me anymore. Hope Trimbow works well for you. 😀

I still have the ventolin as a rescue inhaler but have,nt had to use it in 10 days now :-)

in reply to irishdave

Wow......that seems a pretty positive result for the benefit of Trimbow. I will definitely be chasing my respiratory nurse for a switch to it . I don't know if it's an option in my area in East Scotland but fingers crossed.......😜. I'm using my Ventolin at least 10 times daily and feeling no benefit. :( perhaps I'm overusing it and therefore cancelling out any benefit but I'm so desperate to ease my poor old chest when struggling to get my breath. GLad you are doing well. 😀

Theres times when i,m having a flare up i be using the ventolin constantly and feel its doing nothing as well and i feel i,m over using it also. This trimbow has a small amount of steroid and the consultant thinks it might help to stop the airways and lungs getting inflamed so much giving me a longer time between flare ups. I been having them every 2 to 3 weeks this past 6 months so i hope he is right :-). Nice to know i,m not the only one up half the night btw lol.

Sometimes the only thing that keeps me going is reading the posts on this forum, i been on it over a year but never posted until now.

in reply to irishdave

Lol I couldn't get to sleep, no idea why as I'm not unwell. 😊 I rather like being awake in the night. LIke you I read the posts on this site and generally listen to news on tv etc....you should post more now youve got your first post done 🍀😀 I'm sorry you are having so many flare ups. I hope Trimbow helps you get rid of them. I take Azithromycin and haven't had bad flare ups for ages......thankfully. 💃🏻

I never sleep well these nights for a long time now get sort of used to it.funny thing last week i had a stinker of a cold and luckily it did,nt progress to my lungs but the strange thing was my breathing was much better lol work that one out :-) BTW were you a smoker before?

in reply to irishdave

TRy as I might Irish Dave I can't work it out lol. I'm lucky with colds...more the lack of them. I get a one day cold and next day it's gone thankfully. Touch wood.....in all my life I've had one really bad cold that I can remember and had flu once.......I've had the sniffles and a bit of a cough that I've called the cold but as I said never progresses. Best preventer is a pack of Zinc with Vit C about £3 from Tescos. One a day and colds will be a thing of the past. I don't take them ...I don't need them lol ..but my husband does and the only time he gets a cold is when he forgets . Oh heavens don't I waffle on.....sorry lol 😀😀

I was also put on Trimbow in July by my pulmonologist Karen and have seen a marked improvement in my breathing. I was on Fostair prior to that. I have been coughing more at night though, that had stopped on Fostair but I do feel much better breathing wise.

Fingers crossed it keeps on helping us :-)

Hi Irishdave....😃 HOw are you? I hope you've been well. Are you still on Trmbow and is it still doing you good? I've finally been given Trimbow and have to admit I'm very wary of it after reading some negative posts. I don't want to feel worse!! Im a coward!! Let me know how things are please . 😄

Hi again Anna :-) Yes i am still on the Trimbow and thank goodness still doing well with it,(touch wood). I have read comments good and bad every medicine is not good for everyone as we are all so different even with the same conditions. I,m more than two months flare up free, no ventolin and no mucas thinning tablets so lordy lordy long may it last. :-) And believe me there is no bigger coward than me, sure if it does,nt suit you go back on your old meds. Anyway i hope you are well and please let me know how you get on with it i,ll keep my fingers crossed for you :-) Dave

HI Dave....Thank you for taking the time to answer me. 🍷 I'm glad to hear Trimbow is working well for you. I'm such a coward, I dread anything that might cause me further breathing problems so I've been scouring this site reading all I can about the effect it has had on others.😄😄😱

irishdave in reply to CaptainPugwash

Yes still on it and so far so good still seems to be helping with no problems, but i do know its not so good with some other people but thats the same with all meds i think. Give it a try you can always change if it does,nt suit you. All the best.
