Static oxygen generators

I have just taken delivery of two generators from Baywater . Unfortunately they both seem very noisy and I would hate to use oxygen 24/7 at these noise levels. Any thoughts please.

Put the in your hall or another. Room if you can.. you do get used to the noise eventually

Put them in another room if poss believe me you will get used to the noise ...but you can get a mat that may help keep the noise down a bit ... i must admit they are a noisy machine but i just situate mine away from my rooms i spend most time in .. goodluck x

Yes they are noisy but you do get used to them after a while.

Mine are noisey too. I have them standing on rubber backed mats but it doesn’t make much difference. They also generate quite a bit of heat. On the plus side, the oxygen has really helped.

Yes, you will get used to them in time. I hardly notice mine now.

When I get to the stage of needing oxygen you will not find me complaining about the noise. The alternative is to go out and buy private ones. I think we all tend to forget that the NHS is free (Thank God). In the USA it would need a second mortgage for this sort of help. Persevere and you will get used to the noise, after all, most of us eventually get used to the wife! Then, like the oxygen, we can't do without her.

Yes you are quite right. Yes I am truly thankful for the free nhs. My only reason for asking is that I am certain the machine my wife’s aunt was given was a lot quieter

i got a homefill concentrater from dolby which was a litte bit noisy to start with but put done coule carpet cuttings below it which made big difference after about week hardly any noise you get used to it but big difference with oxygen at night now as i have great nights sleep now fror about 8-9 hours no problem big difference in my life since oxygen has made glad i am on it now

I leave mine on a piece of carpet in the Hall. I can't hear it upstairs. You do get used to the noise I don't take any notice now.

Mike, I have my machine sitting on top of foam gym mats, (the ones that interlock together to cover the floor). Mine sits on one mats, it really does reduce the vibration noise (hum) of the machine. The machine also generates a fair bit of heat when in use.

Mine is in the carpeted hallway but still sounds quite noisy. It also produces a fair bit of heat. Oh well can’t complain as it makes my life easier
