Hi I have had asthma since I was 4 they called it bronchitis then until the late 70s then asthma which later turned out to be c o p d. I have had some terrible days and nights, sometimes so bad I thought of ending it all. I am almost 68 y0age now and it was only 2 months ago during a nasty attack that when I finally got to see a doctor 4 days later that he told me to try Montelukast 10mg at night it a anti allergy pill so that night still short of breath and as weak as a kitten I took 1 on my life within 15 mins I felt like a new man honestly my lungs opened up I could instantly breathe I mean really breathe. So in my reckoning half my attacks have been brought on by allergies. I am also a keen gardener and had the windows open to smell the flowers, I have slowed that down and now shut the windows that has really helped. After telling my doctor on my return visit he advised I wear a mask during gardening this has been a godsend Good luck all
