Worsening Breathing Probs

I am currently on a beclomethasone inhaler for a couple of weeks, with a salbutamol one for 'just in case' as my GP thinks I may have asthma.

I've had breathing issues on and off for a little under 2 months but over the past few weeks they've become progressively worse. It feels as if my diaphragm just isn't working at full steam and my lungs can't take in as much air, or exhale as much, as they need to. As if that whole area of my body is a bit weak and not actually working properly.

I'm tired, weak and find myself yawning a lot.

Ironically, I've lost almost 2 stone since last April, and was capable of running 5k without getting all that out of breath in June. Now, I am literally having to pause for breath between sentences.

I came to visit my mum today, walked here (30 minute fast walk) and sped up for the final 5 minutes as I was late. By the time I arrived, my arms and legs were like jelly, my lungs felt tiny and I felt very light headed and absolutely knackered.

I should point out, I'm 37 and was in the best health I have been in for about 15 years until recently.

I'd recently been diagnosed with autoimmune disorder, reflux, had an ablation for afib last June and am currently undergoing investigation for asthma but this feels far more serious. I can barely walk a few 100 steps or a flight of stairs without feeling exhausted.

Are these normal asthma symptoms? It's literally ruining my life at the moment and looking as if I may have to cancel mine and my wife's holiday to NY from next Saturday.

I'll have to have a look for that, never heard of it.

My dad has passed on all kinds of health problems that have kicked in in the last 14 months. I'm assuming this is the next one but I'm surely too young for COPD, and I've never smoked in my life. The latest bout of problems kicked off after I had a few drinks last Sunday. When you can not even have a nice night in, you know things are getting bad.

I hope you get some help with your problems soon!
