What Do I know Following NCS EMG Nerve Condition Test.

Had nerve conduction test and it HURT and voltage was waked right up TALK about feeling bang.

Was like sticking finger in plug wack I recived ONLY thing missing was flying across room.

So what I have learnt is when doctors nhs say uncomfortable 😣 the mean it’s going to hurt a lot.

Also looking at waves on electric shock machine WELL up down wave rollercoaster wave ARE healthy waves see picture (A) 👌

Stagerd waves see picture (B) 👀 is nerve issues wasting palsy or what ever.

Clearly am not 💯 % as not Doctor but guess all find out soon enough if am right or wrong.

Wow that sounds like a horrible test (like there are nice ones?!) I don't know if doctors have a really high pain threshold, or if they never learned the actual meaning of uncomfortable. 😒

When do you find out what it all means? I hope you're doing OK.

Hi Hungryhufflepuff uncomfortable was so understatement really even my brother said i looked like ghosts when I come out.

Am at physo tomorrow so he might have results when I go.

If not guess might be few weeks

Goodness JAS,it sounds like you had the shock of your blinking life.......they really should've warned you with something better than "it'll be a tad uncomfortable", luck you were ok afterwards to make your way home. Tell me would anyone be able to drive a car home after such a procedure? Let's hope, with chart plotted evidence, that these Doctors can finally explain what's what eh?

Glad you are in one piece!!!

Hi SquirrelHolt defo was experience AM speculating he waked voltage up to see if issue resolved or intermittent.

As to driving guess you are ok ITs one of them test you eather pass out or are ok.

So the know there then if ok to drive.

Hope the physio helps you with it today. There's another class of practitioner who underestimates the effects of some of the things they do.

Hi Ergendl I would not be surprised if CIA Mi5 had not tried recruiting him.

Think he was fully aware of test procedures and luv it

Oh dear Jeff that sounds awful. I hope that the physio is kinder to you today.

I firmly believe that every doctor should ( as far as possible ) go through many things thry put patients through. When I was in ICU I told the doctors that if they were going to do yet another arteial blood gas test without lidocaine then I wanted their promise that they'd have one done themselves later that day. Plus a nice large measure of potassium drink ! Sheila x
