The tumour will continue to shrink for months yet. Depending on how many doses you have received then yes, you can have more to a total of 7 doses. Chemo or Immunotherapy are the next options available. I have had SABR this year and waiting the results from my first post treatment CT Scan and done a lot of research into the treatment. You should have 3 monthly scans for a year then 6 monthly scans for the next 4 years after that.

I have non small cell as well and had 5 doses. It is going to take about a year before you are going to have an inkling as to whether you are going to be classed as all clear or not, so no need to panic yet, you have already had a 25% reduction so looking good so far.

Mine was a little larger than yours, tennis ball sized by the time treatment had started. Which has had a big effect on my breathing because I also have severe emphysema as well.

Just remember to keep exercising, even with lung cancer, it is very important.

when i asked the consultant to draw the size it was like the end of a match stick that was when it was 8ml im wondering if the 6ml is just dead tissue

The only way to tell at the moment whether it active or dead is with a PET Scan. You should have no reason to worry given the small size, you should rejoice that it was found at such an early stage, it would not have had chance to it to have entered the blood stream and transported to affect other parts of the body.

i m wondering why they didnt suggest having part of your lung away

i had a 23ml on my right lung and had my top part of my lung removed last sept

I have severe emphysema, cardio arterial disease, arrhythmia, high blood pressure and peripheral vascular disease. The prognosis from the surgeon was 40% mortality and if I survived surgery a 60% chance of being wheelchair bound on oxygen full-time. Not liking those odds one bit, I had to declined surgery. I also only have 30% lung function.
