Finally, I have been referred for a CT scan but I have the problem of being unable to lie flat. Any advice on how to deal with this, please?

When I had my CT scan I was not completely flat. The bed was raised slightly from my hips up. The lady doing the scan took a lot of care to make sure I was comfortable.

That is interesting. I had planned to try and go into training for it by gradually lowering the top of my bed and see if I could cope with that.

The consultant said that I had to be flat but only for 2 minutes. He thought I should try and have it done but if I couldn't, I couldn't.

I am a bit annoyed that this was not done years ago when I was capable of lying flat.

I have plenty of time to train myself, if possible, because there is a 5 month waiting list.

Don't worry you will be made comfortable before it starts. I am in the same boat having curvature of the spine . I was fine.

I was given a couple of pillows and felt very comfortable - just explain your problem. Best of luck x
