Find a nice background music ๐ŸŽถ ๐ŸŽง

I donโ€™t mean heavy metal or rock and roll ๐ŸŽธ

Something which will bore you to sleep..๐Ÿ˜‰

I use meditative music and it does the trick!

1.ยซ Counting the breathยป

ยซ To begin with, position yourself as comfortably as you can, you might want to take a moment to feel the support beneath you, and just let your body settle in.

And as you breathe in and out slowly, you can allow yourself to feel more and more settled and comfortable, inhaling as fully as you can, gently and easily and breathing out fully and comfortably.

And knowing that when you place your hand over your abdomen or your chest in a certain way, each time you listen to your breath, that you are creating a built-in cue for later on.

And start breathing in, counting 1.2.3 , and breathing out, 1.2.3, noticing how your tummy rises and subsides then continue at your own pace...on and on..

Inhaling and thinking Peace, and exhaling and thinking Calm..

Saying to yourself: I am Peace as you breathe in and breathing out I am Calm..on and on..till you feel soothed and settled..

You may want to choose your own words..ยป

Wise words from Belleruth Naparstek ๐Ÿ’“

Have a nice relaxing day xx

Hi Fran, Petes had back pain for a long time and has a stimulator fitted which doesnโ€™t work. He now has sciatic pain (herniated disc) in his left leg as well as his right.

Trying to help all I can. Xxxxx

in reply to sassy59

Well back to the doctor for that stimulator..if Pete lets you book an appointment..

Drastic changes in weather are not good for bones and joints..my back fracture is playing up..

Franโ€™s homehelp

Hot and cold 3mn a bag of frozen peas then 3mn a hot water bottle etc until pain subsides..

Massaging with Arnica oil from Weleda?

Acupuncture I have tried for sciatica it is very good if he likes needles.

Mum does Mesotherapy she has several discal hernias..tiny needles with some products done by a proper doctor every 3 weeks.

She tried steroids injections as well..

Anyway no point in suffering, there are ways if he lets you convince him..

Lots of love ๐Ÿ’–

Fran

Buenas Dias Fran, Your garden and Beyond is so Beautiful and Yes, very Calming. I have completed all my Breathing Exercises this Morning,(have a bit of a chesty cough). The Body had Ibuprofen Gel to ease the pain of Ostio & Arthritis, after the Heat which didn't really bother me, the Drastic turn of Temperatures(to Chilly) has left my Joints so Painful, never really mentioned them Before, But we all have "Aging Elements" to contend with. I feel this is the case for Carole's Pete, Sciatica is a Pain I wouldn't wish to have ever again. The Hot weather is returning soon, It is most welcome for me, Other's though without Oxygen Help will suffer. Wishing you ,Bea & Aria a Lovely Calming Sunday Carino. Muchisimo Amor y Besos. XXXXXX

Buenas Carolina,

Itโ€™s looking dry..just too hot for my rose tree sniff..

Youโ€™ve done well with your breathing exercises, Iโ€™m pumping in ventolin and packing things away, trying to remember where I put them ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I canโ€™t have nsaid gels but I must say the daily steroids help with aches and mobility..

Sciatica is awful yes..Poor Pete..

Well you are right, for the weather we have to take it one day at a time, not like we can control anything, we just have to adapt..

Besos y abrazos y que tienes un buen domingo xx ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽถ

Well that's not fair, you didn't mention that part of the relaxation process was too find a nice garden with lush green grass and abundant with beautiful flowers,oh and add in the background of the sparkling blue waters of a Swiss lake with some mountains in the background.

Somewhat difficult to achieve whilst looking out on a rain soaked unkempt Manchunian garden but i will give it my best shot.

Have a happy and peaceful day my friend happy Fran.

Ski's and a cat that sleeps for ever :) xx

in reply to skischool

I must say the garden and the view help a lot ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Sorry about the northern weather but you are in for another heatwave so I heard.

Enjoy your evening xx
