Funny shape!!

β€’35 Replies

Hello BLF friends,

Nothing wrong with the abdomen mri, apart from the noise torture, inhaling, exhaling and holding for 45mn and the liquid they injected!

I am exhausted but pleased to say that my pancreas is just strangely shaped! I said like its owner..πŸ˜ƒ

Well I am glad to be home, looking at special spa mountain holiday offers around Switzerland, not too high but Bea, Aria and I need fresh air!!

Big storm so we couldn’t see the eclipse..it must be on tv somewhere..

Flowers for your day xx

Very very pleased your insides are just misshapen Fran. Whatever next is to be found. Last night's very tropical storm has passed here but it's stifling, clammy, and I wish it would snow. Lol. Have a good weekend, Jane

in reply to chubby2x22

Hello Jane,

Thank you 😊

There was nothing in the pancreas blood tests or the cancer bio markers, so doc said maybe gallbladder, stones etc so anyway in the old days they would have opened up and have a look, it was worth enduring the hammering and drilling of the mri! πŸ˜ƒ It is called medical progress!

Snow ❄️?? πŸ˜‚

Well you dispatched that storm over here βš‘οΈπŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸŒŠ!! Hopefully it will cool things a little xx

Glad you are home and strangely shaped. Thanks for your cheering photo of the flowers. I didn’t see the eclipse either but had a while of contemplation looking out at clouds and moonlight between the gaps in the clouds. I’ve seen some photos of the eclipse on the BBC news website (I don’t know how to post a link, sorry)

in reply to HungryHufflepuff

Thank you 😊. I’ll look on the BBC website, thanks for the info πŸ˜‰

Lovely flowers thank you Fran.

Glad you’re ok and back home. Good luck with the holiday offers, hope you find something good.

We didn’t see the red moon either as rain and clouds prevented that.

Have a good weekend.

Lots of love, Carole xxx πŸ˜˜πŸ’–β€οΈ

Glad you like them Carole 😊

There seems plenty of them around so we need a room with a closed balcony so Aria doesn’t escape πŸ˜ƒand the right price!

Well we are going to have to wait 300 years πŸ˜‰

Lots of love πŸ’– 🌷

Good morning my strangely shaped friend, no eclipse seen here either..I stood in our field and waited for the break in the cloud that never came. Oh well as you say there'll be pictures in abundance on tv I'm sure.

I'm happy the tests are over for now for you and results have been good.

Thanks for the beautiful picture of flowers 😊. Lots of love to you β€πŸ’žπŸ’—

I'm going to take my number 2 daughter to her swimming lesson today so she'll be happy at least, and I can sit in the cafe and drink tea πŸ˜‰.

Have a good day today xxx

A beautiful picture, Fran, it could be a painting...still life! So glad you’re back home and so so glad the test results were good....if slightly mis-shapen.

The plan for a spa stay in the mountains sounds idyllic πŸ˜‡ I wished we could have moved out while the builders were in....you forget the mess and upheaval 😱

Amongst all the untidiness, we’ve got visitors this week end....I’m too tired! But it’s my daughter and her family, she says it’s my birthday next week and this is celebration time πŸŽ‰πŸŽˆπŸŽ‰ I’ll have to get into the mood soon!!! Trouble is, I’ve had SO many birthdays! Ha! 😘

Have a good weekend, find the perfect holiday 🌹

Lots of love, Penny xxxx πŸ§šπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ’ƒπŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ

Hi Penny 🌷

Glad you like it!

Well the builders will cut electricity and water so no choice they asked us out!

Hope the birthday celebration goes well just be happy tipsy and let her deal with the catering and the washing up!!

Lots of love πŸ’• 🌼🎢🎈

Saint Pancras (Latin: Sanctus Pancratius) was a Roman citizen who converted to Christianity, and was beheaded for his faith at the age of fourteen, around the year 304. His name is Greek (Παγκράτιος) and means "the one that holds everything".

From an early stage, Saint Pancras was venerated together with Saints Nereus and Achilleus in a shared feast day and Mass formula on 12 May. In 1595, 25 years after Pope Pius V promulgated the Tridentine Missal, Saint Domitilla was also added.

Since 1969, Saint Pancras has been venerated separately, still on 12 May. He is, traditionally, the second of the Ice Saints.

There you go my happy misshapen friend,a short history of your pal St Panras.now take organ, daughter cat and yourself off to somewhere nice whilst your apartment is destroyed by the builders and have a nice relaxing time.you deserve it after all you are a saint! :)

love and best wishes.....St Ski's and Scruffy xxx

Me too, I keep looking at the picture, everything is so neat and tidy. I’m such an untidy person and have stuff piled up everywhere and am totally disorganised and messy. Looking at this photo brings a little moment of calm to my chaos 😎

Oh we are neat..in the living room πŸ˜ƒ. Got to see the kitchenπŸ˜‰ X

Morning Fran. So glad they found nothing more than an odd shaped pancreas. You are so brave ! Having an MRI is the dread of my life- in fact I'd refuse very loudly. I am very claustrophobic and to me just the words MRI are the stuff of nightmares.

Please be careful with Aria on holiday. My little cat could have scaled any height of closed in balcony just out of curiosity. Love to you and Bea and a stroke for Lady Aria, Sheila xx

in reply to mskpjb

Hello Sheila!

I know where you come from but I had to deal with it, 45mns worth. I remember getting phone calls from the hospital telling me Dad had walked off a few times and we had to pay!!!

The trick is you close your eyes as soon as you lay down outside the tunnel and you never open them again till they tell you it’s over and you are out again. I tell you it works! I concentrated on my breathing. I mean when it started drilling and hammering I had to laugh! You must think I am crazy..

Oh Aria is the most looked after cat in the whole world in Margate!! Bea won’t let her out of her sight! πŸ˜ƒ

Have a good weekend Sheila

Love xx

Hi Fran.,that's good news and the flowers are lovely, my late husbands favouriite colour. I forgot all about the eclipse till it was too late other things on my mind. Start sorting that holiday and hope you enjoy it. I'm hoping to get to the holiday next week in Barmouth north Wales. Depends a bit on tomorrows visit to the broken bone clinic. Arms much better but not completely healed as theres still some pain & bruising. Waiting for the carers to arrive right now, went to wrong house twice yesterday plus coming when ever, thank goodness they won't be needed much longer. Have a nice day, thunderstorms here but the rain and chill is much needed, at least I can breathe better. xx

in reply to katieoxo60

Hi Kate 🌸

Sorry for your loss my dear friend..hope the flowers recalled happy memories 😊

I hope you can get away to Wales. It will cheer you up, better than staying at home with all those carers coming and going..when they make it πŸ˜ƒ

Let us know how you get on at the clinic.

Have a nice Sunday xx
