I hate it Davy boy. I don't venture out unless I absolutely have to. Hate to see all the gardens drying up but have an awful feeling that this might be the pattern of future summers. Stay well, Sheila xx

I went out along the river on my mobility scooter and despite there being a breeze there didn't seem to be any air. I checked my O2 and it was down to 88, its normally 95 to 96. When I got in the car with the aircon on it soon recovered. Ive been staying in since then.

Hi Davey Boy, Im so sorry you and other members are having a bad time.

Just for variation though, although the heat is difficult my breathing is better than normally. Strange but true and I attribute it to the current high pressure making the work of breathing easier - clearly this doesnt work for everyone.

Today at PR maintenance session I walked 25 laps (back and forward across a large hall) compared with last week when I walked a mere 15. Weird.

I'm getting up at 6am and gardening til around 9am when everything heats up. So indoors with the blinds down on the sunny side of the house, drinking loads of un-iced water (ice is a shock to the body even though it may feel nice) and spraying myself and the dog with a plant mister to keep as cool as possible.

Hope everyone feels better soon.

Hello Dave

Doing my chores quite early

Wondering around air conditioned supermarkets

And crashing on the sofa for the rest of the day in front of my Dyson pure cool. It is a good air purifier I needed to invest in one, you put it on auto and it killls those nasty particles. I can certainly breathe better. So can Aria the cat, she loves the cool air in her whiskers!

Nebulising with Salbutamol has helped as well.

Have a good day x

The Dyson air purifier is excellent and the automatic setting is very efficient but in the sultry heat we’ve had, I put an ordinary fan on too....moves the air! Got wind and rain here today, so no fan needed, quite a relief! 🏝🏝☔️ Penny

I work in my room with a north facing window, so the sun doesn't shine in. It's a dull room in the winter, but lovely in this overbright baking hot spell.
