Hrumph!

When you're living on your own

There's no one to complain,

About your funny noises,

Hrumph! is one I'd name.

Now this is close to huffing,

Which I do all the time.

And I suppose it's now become

To be a habit of mine.

In the urban dictionary,

Of which I use a lot,

It states it shows bad temper,

Which I don't think I've got.

So if I ever meet you,

Please bear this in mind.

I might be grumpy now and then

But I'm not that way inclined.

Hi Don, great verse as usual...... just want to let you know I'm having problems with the site, I tried to just tick the like button earlier today as I was on my way out, it just kept changing to "unlike" couldn't understand it tried several times but it just kept changing back from like to unlike but wouldn't send.....Just tried again and still the same. So the moral of the story is if you get a "unlike" reply from me it is a glitch in the system and genuinely not meant.

I think the 'unlike' is a new facility that they recently introduced and they are probably still sorting it. There were signs of trouble a while back when it suddenly took longer for a 'like' to register than usual.

Although I ve never met you in person, I do feel as if I know you, and grumpy isn’t a term I’d use in relation to you. My husband isn’t particularly grumpy, but our granddaughter calls him grumpy grandad!
