tired out

having just finished a course of prednisolone and antibiotics for a flare up,I feel so tired the steroids keep me awake while taking them ,Am i just catching up on sleep i wonder My breathing is rubbish and feeling exhausted,I am so tired,Hoping you are all coping well ,what a lovely community we have on here.Best wishes for you all health wise,

I know what you mean. I take a maintaince dose of the devil's tic tacs aka Predisone. I can't sleep without medication. Very, very annoying. 😏 If it's hot 🔥 and you aren't sleeping, it makes the fatigue much, much worse. Try and stay in a cool and dry environment. I find that helps me, at any rate. I hope you feel better very soon.

Yes, I had the same after Chest infection in April. N the slightest exertion, like making some dinner, left me exhausted. Getting a bit better now, but find this hot weather, difficult. Hope you feel better soon. 😊🌻✌️

hi -steroids are the Jekyll and Hyde of the meds world. So good at getting you back on an even keel but so bad with the side effects. Hope you're fine now.

When I was on 30mg of prednisolone a day for 6 months I at first took them in the morning and I was sometime still awake at 4am. I gradually took them later and later in each day until was taking them at bedtime, and I got to sleep quite easily! Someone wrote then that prednisolone wears off during the 24 hours, so if you take them at bedtime it is a couple of hours before they start doing whatever they do to stop you sleeping, by which time you are asleep. That may be wrong, but taking them at bedtime helped me get to sleep.
